Privacy Notice

1. Who we are
MUWEN is operated by RTCMM YUMI LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("MUWEN," "we," "us"). This notice explains how we handle personal information through muwenstudio.com and our emails.

Right now our site is a pre-launch waitlist. It isn't a store yet, and we don't take orders or payments. We will update this notice before checkout opens (see section 9).
2. What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- Your email address. This is the only thing we ask you to enter.
- Your consent record: the consent wording shown to you, when you joined, and where on the site you signed up.
- Your status: whether you confirmed your email and when, and whether and when you unsubscribed.
- A random code we use to make the confirm and unsubscribe links in our emails work.
We don't ask for your name, phone number, birthday, address, or payment details on the waitlist.
Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and database providers may process technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Emails. We currently do not track whether you open or click our emails.
3. How we use it
We use your information to:
- send you a confirmation email and add you to the waitlist once you confirm;
- send you launch news, updates, and your 15% off code;
- keep a record of your consent and honor your unsubscribe choice;
- prevent spam, duplicate, or automated signups and misuse of the perk;
- operate and protect the site; and
- comply with legal obligations.
4. How you join, and how to unsubscribe
To join, you check a box that starts unchecked and submit your email. We then send a confirmation email, and you're added to the list only after you click the link in it.
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email hello@muwenstudio.com and ask to be removed. We process unsubscribe requests promptly and within the time the law requires. After you unsubscribe, we may still send a non-marketing message if you ask us for something, such as a reply to your question.
5. Who we share it with
Service providers. We use companies that help us run MUWEN and process information on our behalf, including:
- Lovable, which builds and hosts our website and provides our database through Supabase; and
- Resend, which sends our emails.
Legal, safety, and security. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law or legal process, or that it is reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, protect the security of our site, or protect the rights or safety of MUWEN, our customers, or others.
Business changes. If MUWEN or its assets are involved in a sale, merger, or reorganization, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information. We currently do not share it for targeted advertising, and we currently do not use advertising pixels or retargeting tools on our site. If that changes, we'll update this notice before we start, and we'll offer any opt-out the law requires.
6. How long we keep it
These are the retention periods we're working toward:
- If you never confirm your email: we aim to delete your signup within about 30 days.
- While you're subscribed: we keep your email and consent record.
- After you unsubscribe: we keep a minimal record, such as your email and the date you opted out, so we don't email you again by mistake.
- If MUWEN doesn't launch: we aim to delete the waitlist within 12 months of deciding not to launch.
We may keep information longer when the law requires it, or when it's reasonably necessary to resolve a dispute or show that we had your consent. Copies held by our service providers are subject to their own deletion schedules.
7. Security
We use reasonable measures, appropriate for a small business, to protect the information we hold, such as limiting who can access the signup records. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so we can't guarantee security. If a security incident affects your information, we'll notify you where the law requires.
8. Your choices and requests
Even where the law doesn't require it, we offer everyone these options. You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we have about you;
- correct it; or
- delete it.
How to ask: email hello@muwenstudio.com from the address you signed up with and tell us what you'd like. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address so we know it's you. We aim to respond within 30 days. In some cases, we may need to keep certain information, such as a minimal unsubscribe record or information the law requires us to keep, and we'll tell you if that applies.
State privacy laws. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law. If a state privacy law applies to us and to your request, we'll handle your request as that law requires, including any appeal process it provides. We won't treat you differently for making a request.
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when our practices change. We plan to update it before our store opens, to cover orders, payments, and shipping. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change would materially affect how we use information we already have, we'll notify you, and we'll ask for your consent first if the change requires it.
10. Age and location
The waitlist is intended for people who are 18 or older and live in the United States. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through the waitlist. If you believe someone under 18 has signed up, email us and we'll take steps to delete their information.
